First off thank you for this great forum, I have gotten so much great information before we even got started. We have dug up the grass and gotten the area fairly level- using a transit the blocks for the legs vary up and down about 1.5” from the highest to lowest when just placed on the ground as in the photo. The blocks are 4” thick so my plan was partially bury the support blocks and get them all to the same point of level then put about 2” of sand under the pool body and level that to the block level and the ground cloth on top. The inner string line in the photo is at 24x12 and the outer is at the footprint of the pool at 25’ 10” x 13’ 10”. I know it’s not the best photo but just to give a visual of where we are.
We are in Michigan and still undecided if the pool will be winterized or taken down in the fall. I am aware that the manufacturer recommends against leaving them up, so I am also curious if anyone has successfully winterized and left them up like you would a permanent pool.

Welcome to TFP :)

Please get it set up and leave it up.. They get holes and usually do not last if taken down.. I have winterized my Intex 16x32 for 8 years and it is now on its 9th summer.. It is just fine

Use foam instead of sand, it is a better bottom and will last, also will not have sand divots and holes and footprints and you name it in the sand.. also it is much faster and easier.. Grab 3 inch gorilla tape and tape the sides of the foam together and set the pool on top.. done...

I used 3/4 inch foam, people have used 1/2 inch and also 1 and 2 inch xps foam.. I am not sure how much pressure the 1 and 2 inch can take.. there is a lot of weight in that pool..
