Ugh.. well we have an intex 18x 52. My 4 year old Had a stomach bug and was throwing up this last week. My husband thought he was over it and took him swimming today against my advice. He ended up having a little bit of an accident in the pool of diarrhea. Do we need to drain the entire pool? Should we be worried about cryptosporidium? Prior to this happening chlorine was at a 7 cya at 60

Cryptosporidiosis doesn't typically cause vomiting. It was more likely a virus (norovirus or rotavirus). These viruses are inactivated by regular chlorine levels.

Other than the "nasty" factor, there should be no health issues with your chlorine level. Take it up to slam level if you want for a day for peace of mind and clean the filter.

Although it’s a quite nasty drop, It’s still a drop in the proverbial bucket. Maintain SLAM level based on the FC/CYA Levels for 2 days or so just to sleep better.

I read it did. So you wouldn’t worry about it? Should I shock or anything?
It can cause vomiting, but that isn't typical. It usually causes predominantly diarrhea that lasts for 1 to 2 weeks in healthy people. Public pools do have to treat all diarrheal incidents as though they are crypto to be safe but based the info you provided it is not the likely culprit.
