Hi all,

New here. Looking to totally redo my backyard. Its very narrow. The total size of the yard is 26.6 x 60 feet. Does anyone have a long narrow yard with a pool they can share. Looking for something minimalist and modern. The largest pool the city will allow is 14.6 feet in width. Thanks for sharing!

My backyard is 30’x58’. My house is 40’ wide. My pool is a 13x38(~15x40 with coping) rectangle. I have a 10’x40’ patio that drops down a stair to another 3’x40’ of pool decking.

We are in the process of designing our pool at our new house which is in the process of being built - a long, narrow pool in our raised backyard patio. Here’s a couple of 3-D renderings. The pool will be 13’ x 48’. Good luck.

Here's one I was following:

We ended up going with a 14 x 30 FG pool to tuck in a section of the yard and that "barely" fir within the setback requirements. Water had to be 10' from the house, minimum 3' of hardscape around the pool, and nothing within 10' of the lot lines. This is a pic of it still under construction, still working on a few details to finish off the space.

We are facing the same setback issues you did. Looks like 14' will be as wide as we can go. We could squeeze 2-3 more feet but I really don't want the pool any closer than 13' from the house...even that seems too close for some reason.

How are you liking that size?

Here is a link to my build, we have a small yard as well so we had to do a 12x35 pool. We are going geometric modern since our house and decor is like that.
