My TriStar single speed wired as pictured. Voltage across the red and blue is 257 volts ac when running. Want to be sure to V green install is wired correctly. Not used to seeing a blue as a hot wire. To confirm ...either red or blue to L1 either red or blue to. L2 ? Also a mechanical intermatic timer that ran the Tristar will be used temporarily. No wires will be attached to the dip switch control board for now. Can I assume this has no effect on initial operation?16215254423219018979303339872508.jpg16215255313135560185745804333665.jpg

Shouldn't matter which one goes where since it's a/c fed 110v each leg to power it. That blue colored wire is odd. Usually 1 is red, the other black then green for ground. It's recommended to hook up vs pumps to a surge suppressor. There are single use ones not too spendy.

Good motor choice! I wanted a vgreen but it was too big to fit my equipment pad.

Note that the electrical compartment is susceptible to water intrusion.

Water gets in at the top screw that holds the compartment cover on.

Maybe put a piece of waterproof tape over the screw to prevent water from getting to the screw.

New voltage reads: voltage at each leg intermatic 123 volt AC. Voltage at the pump hovers between 233 and 239 VAC while running. Checked with two different meters.

Will research surge units...we use a dedicated unit for wide screens and internet gear.
