Happened to my dad last week with the pressure gauge in his filter housing. Use an Internal pipe wrench to take it out.

Maybe an "easy out" or screw extractor type of tool or a pipe nipple extractor? Find one that fits snuggly into the old broken part you already removed. Then carefully insert into the stuck fitting and carefully unscrew it.
