Hey folks this question is specifically for those who have a screened enclosure and have installed string lighting or bistro lights.
My wife wants me to put up some string lights along the edge of the screen surrounding the perimeter of the pool.
I was wondering how you all installed your lights to the enclosure. Drill holes? Clips?
Thanks

I see you have not received any answers so here is a bump and thought.

My thought is I would not drill holes or do anything that is permanent so you can make changes down the road. See about the roof hangers for Christmas lights. I think they might work. What about fishing line? You could poke one end through the screen at the top of the rail you want to hang them from and coming back in just under the rail then tie it around the string of lights. Can you see what I mean?

3M command hooks come in all sizes and would last plenty long enough to be sure you want a permanent fix. If they last long enough, you might decide to use them a second/third time.

If there is something to hook them to, Christmas light gutter clips would be super easy. We don’t even have to use a ladder, since we bought a telescoping pole designed to hang them.

Thanks for the ideas. The hangers and hooks cant be used for they must have something to clip on to and there just isnt anything for it attach too. I was just asking to see if there was a standard way in which others were installing their own.
I had a bunch of the self tapping screws left over from the screen enclosure build so I spaced out my locations across the entire length and width of the patio and just screwed them into the aluminum. The string lights I picked up off amazon are amazing. I even got the dimmer they offer so I can adjust the brightness in 4 increments.

We need pictures! I’m thinking about doing something similar on my back porch.

The dimmer is a must! it connects directly to the string lights and has a remote with a nice distance. This way you can keep them plugged into an outlet and use the remote to power off and on as well as dimming.
