So I thought I lost my heat pump in the great TX snowstorm, I fixed everything else today and powered it on, turns out it’s just a section of 2” pvc (17) that is between the heat exchanger (10) and the evaporator (5), which makes up 3 walls.

there is no way to remove the evaporator without cutting copper lines.

right now the only idea I have is to lie down with my stomach on the center dome (6) and spend 347 hours replacing that pipe while cutting my hands and arms up on the condenser fins.

Disconnect the heater, pick it up and put on a platform such that you can get to the pipe from below??

Or turn it over?

The issue is, all that copper piping is connected to the coiled tubing in the center. I’m not even sure how to raise that all up without risking bending/kinking a line.

Maybe I just need to cut a few lines, repair the pipe, and braze and recharge the system

Can you get a better pic closer up? What's the issue a crack or a split length?

I'd fix in place making a bench with 2 ladders and boards to lay on stomach amd have a helper gopher stuff to you. You will swear a few times but that's the usual with these repairs
