Hey guys! Just ran my first test with my TF-Pro salt. My pool was filled for the first time 7 days ago. Been brushing 2-3 times per day. Builder was off schedule and pump/filter didn’t get up and running until 5 days after. The past week has been a little stressful for me considering the circumstances and being a first time pool owner. I’m including my test run a few minutes ago. I’ve added the suggested acid already which was only 14oz of 31.45% Baum, which was much less than I expected to add considering my ph. About to add the CYA using the sock method and add some liquid bleach. Anything else I need to do at this point? Thanks for the help!

What was your target pH? That volume of acid is less than what I get to lower to a pH of 7.4. Be sure your TA is properly saved in Poolmath.

Also, I was looking through the startup guide for my plaster manufacturer and it said the limit the calcium hardness to 200ppm. Should I add some fresh water to try to pull it back down from 350? Will it cause any issues being higher than the suggest 200?

Just keep your pH in control in the 7's and that will manage any issues with the higher CH. Test your fill water CH and TA and record that.

Not looking like I’m making much progress on my ph and chlorine. Any suggestions or just stay the course with suggestions per pool math? Cya is still absorbing with sock method.

Keep checking pH and FC daily. Add acid to lower pH. Once the CYA dissolves the FC should start to hold. If it does not, then you need to do a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
Thank you. By the way, what is the best for me to share my results for help? Like I’m currently doing it?

Quick question for clarification: when adding drops during testing, do I stop adding drops when the color first changes or when it no longer changes? I’ve watched the videos and follow the instructions included with the kit but they have conflicting statements

From Extended Test Directions - Continue adding drops as long as the color continues changing. The final drop, that does not change the color any further, does not count.
