Good afternoon everyone! I am breaking ground on our pool in about a month or so depending on the weather. I was curious about your opinions on my current plan to plumb the pool. I plan to use "homerun" lines for the two skimmers which will T into one line near the pump. The same goes for the return line. From the SWG, I will build a manifold for turning that one pipe into three homerun lines to the respective returns on the pool I plan on using 2" PVC. From what I have read, the Jandy pool valves are the best bet even after the cost is considered. Is there a major difference between the HD union ball valve, never lube valves or the gray valves?

Thank you again everyone! Screen Shot 2021-03-01 at 1.03.47 PM.pngScreen Shot 2021-02-28 at 9.34.28 AM.png

Jandy NeverLube is the industry standard. You should not use ball valves as they eventually freeze up and fail. Shop around and buy from the cheapest place. They vary in price by as much as 2x between sellers.

Almost guaranteed the ball valves will fail (right before you go on vacation). No brainer for Neverlube or equivalent.
