And we are off...

It’s open on the bottom - it’s perforated rings that are capped. No issues floating. Here on Long Island the ground is so sandy that thankfully we don’t have to worry about groundwater too much.

Also spoke with the PB we are gonna go with a hard bottom - it was initially going to be sand. Gonna be an extra $2K but I think worth it.

Awesome! So exciting to see your project get started! Keep the updates coming as you go through the process. We are just now getting our quotes to build in 2021 (doing similar vinyl, maybe a little bigger at 20x40).

Guys, do you think I should be burying empty pvc conduit to make a raceway for future electric needs along the sides of the pool out from my service panel (equipment pad is next to my house)? Anyone else do this before their pool was backfilled?

I personally am going to run empty conduit for future electric/low voltage in the future, and have seen a few builds here do the same. Not a bad thought on your part, should be a lot easier to do now before the area is backfilled.

should i have two separate runs - or can i just run low voltage through properly insulated cable in the same conduit as 110v lines?

I would do two separate runs for sure. I personally would want my electric lines separated from any low voltage lines.

I am actually going to run three lines. One for electric, one for low voltage landscape lights, and the other for speaker/ethernet lines.
