Since installing the Hayward skimmer a few years back (and so happy we did - cleaner pool!), we just left the hoses and plunger valve attached with the valve closed. But just yesterday, one of the hoses sprung a small leak. Want to do something more permanent but simple.IMG_1127.jpg
 
You should have gotten some hat-looking caps to seal off those inlets. They look like this

Put them tightly into the inlet holes, remove the hoses, and you're done!

Thanks...I do have them. Please clarify, in the schematic below it appears you just take off the strainer cover and insert the plug...correct? Will this hold with a lot of people in the pool?
