Flush Mount Return Jet Removal

Check Amazon for an MB55 Eyeball Seat Removal tool. My returns are 1.5" recessed and it works fairly well.
Interesting but how does it grab the tabs of the locking ring to remove that so you can get to the eyeball fitting?

If you take the ring off and then take the eyeball out, there should be a third piece that is screwed into the pipe. That piece has two slot that the tool above should fit into.
Have you looked into the pipe with the ring and eyeball removed yet??
To get the ring off, I have used needle nose pliers, opened to hit each tab on the ring..

You position the tabs on the tool on the side of the tabs on the return (which side depends on whether your removing or installing) apply a little pressure and turn. Or, as Jim said, a pair of needle-nose pliers would work too.
