Glass Tile for 360 Perimeter Spa

For the new build we're evaluating a 360 perimeter spill spa. In many pictures, people seem to always use the 1" glass tiles. Is there a reason the glass is selected over others from a material perspective? Or is it to make an even perimeter water effect all the way around the spa?

Also, any feedback on maintaining the small glass tiles in a 360 spa design? I tried to attach a sample pic, but it keeps deleting it.

Servers have been glitchy. Try and load your pic again.

I think 1" glass tiles are the in thing now. Adds lots of bling to it. Pay attention to the color thinset used under the tile as it will affect the color you see though the glass.

@kimkats advises on bling.

You rang??? HI! and what fun!

So 1x1 tile is used as it is so easy to work with. When you get to the 1x2 it is harder to make curves with. The 1x1 can even be used on rolled edges for your neck and arm rest.

Do you LIKE BLING? or do you want more subtle color?
