Newly single mom of 3 on a crash course of learning how to care for our pool - so thanks for the help!!

1. As long as we've had the pool, my Pentair app only opens when I'm on our house Wi-fi under the Local option. If I select Remote, I enter the appropriate code for username but was told by the Ex there is no password, yet it won't connect. I have the original computer that the desktop Screenlogic was set up on and there is no password required there either - so what gives that it won't connect if not on our house wi-fi?

2. Under Delays and Alerts It says
Pump 2: Communication Lost
Chlorinator: Communication Lost

How do I fix this? If it matters, about a week ago, I changed our home internet provider. When the technician was out installing the new service, he unplugged all the pentair equipment in our main house system hub of connections/wires (in the master closet). I quickly figured out it was unplugged when the app wouldn't connect.

Thanks!!

llh,

Do you actually have two VS pumps??? If you have two VS pumps, go out and look at the displays and tell me what they say.

Show me the following setup pages from your PC..

While you may not need a password to get into ScreenLogic when on your local network, I suspect that you do need a password to get in when you are remote.. Use your PC and find the set up page below, you can see in the lower right, a box that will let you view or set the remote password.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Yes, we have a hot tub so 2 pumps. What's interesting is in the desktop app, there are no alerts listed, but navigating to the configuration screens you mentioned, it's clear that things are not connecting. I've posted several pictures below. Also, on the password, I did go in and set a password, turned off the wi-fi connection on my phone to force it to use the ATT network and it comes back with ERROR: Cannot connect. The user name I'm entering is the same #letter - #letter - #letter combination that is listed in the configuration screen for the Adapter name.

Outside by the equipment, I'm only seeing one display which says DISPLAY Not Active!desktop alerts.pngpump 1 details.pngpump 2 details.pngpump pic 1.pngpump pic 2.pngoutside display.png

I agree with Jim on the password, you should be able to reset as he notes.

You don't have to turn off the Wifi on your phone when testing. When you open the app, just touch Remote on the right hand side and it will automatically route you out to Pentair and then back in.

They have updated the Remote login screen from what I recall in the past. You used to have to make sure and put the space in after the colon. Now you cannot enter the space or the hypen, they've updated this. Just type your 6 digit identifier - numbers and letters only just as it is on the side of the "brick", the part in the closet. Should be the same number you have in the PC version as well, but you might just double check what is on the white brick in your network closet.

LLH,

Show me a pic of the two pumps..

Both pumps should say "Display Not Active" which means they are being control but the automation.. I have a funny feeling they are using the 2nd IntelliFlo differently..

What does the 2nd pump's display say???

Does the 2nd pump have a control cable connected to the side of the control head, just like pump #1?

If the control able is connected, then it will never run because there are no speeds or circuits set up under the VS 2 page you show above. And.. it appears to me that all your spa stuff is being done by pump #1 ..

When you use the PC to look up the setup pages.. The very first page will show you the adapter name, which should be the same as the remote name... Mine is Pentair: (space) FC-##-##

Thanks,

Jim R.
