It’s me again folks. So a little back story, I thought I was going to have to cover the pool this weekend due to Hurricane Barry. As it shifted more and more west wind was less of a concern so basically just 3-4 days of rain here and there. I’ve been skimming the top for debris in the mornings and also tonight. There is some debris at the bottom, mostly dirt/leaves, I’d say 20 minutes worth of vacuuming or so. I’ve been keeping FC at shock level for my cya which is 12 just due to all the organics being introduced over the weekend.
This evening when I got home I test the water (FC 13, CC 0) and brush the pool. While brushing the pool (in the rain because I’m committed ?) I notice a brown cloud/poof. To the naked eye pool bottom is clear, no patches or accumulations.
So my mind is all over the place:
Need to continue to slam?
Is this dust/dirt that could have been blown in the pool?
Is this maybe a small bit of dead algae that my filter simply hasn’t caught and it settled to the bottom when the elctricty went off? (About 8 hours)
Is this new algae that was introduced into the pool from debris that my LC killed off?
Regardless....dead algae is always better than live algae ?
