Hello!

I added 11 oz of phosfree today as recommend from a previous test. I needed to get my water tested again today since it has been awhile and I also now need to add Cynranic Acid (Conditioner). Since I added the Phosfree I am supposed to wait 72 hours before adding conditioner. But I was supposed to do Conditioner then Phosfree does this order matter or after the Conditioner treatment should i repeat the phosfree?

I also need to know how long after adding Phosfree should I add Ph Reduces / (Dry Acid)

Thanks!

Hi Kevin,

Here on this forum we do not recommend Phosfree. I would not suggest using it in the future. This will save you a lot of money.

Second of all, we do not usually encourage you to test your water at a pool store or follow their suggestions. They are usually wrong.

Do you have a way to test your own water? I would suggest you test your cyanuric acid level yourself before adding any more to your pool. If you add more to a pool that is already over-stablized... you are going to have to drain some water.... and that's not fun.

 Welcome to TFP!!!

Unfortunately, you may not get an an answer here as we do not generally recommend worrying about or lowering the Phosphates (especially with Phosfree that is mostly water). So, few of us any any experience with that product.

What we teach here is a VERY different method of pool care than what any pool store is going to sell you.
TFP is all about adding only what the pool needs based on your own personal accurate test results ... that ends up being a LOT cheaper than the pool store magic potion merry go round.
