Our outdoor kitchen build.

I have three outdoor outlets going into build. My wife doesn’t want to store anything out side. Bugs and ants will be all over stuff and she will only have to wash it. Like I said. All paper stuff. Also we have the Montauk monster here and he comes out at night and opens everything. Lol

Don’t underestimate what you can store outside that does not violate the wife rule. Think BBQ utensils, paper towels, high temperature gloves, some emergency cleaning rags. There is always stuff you will not want to run back inside for.

Put in 11943 zip. We are one block from the bay - on the other side of house is the ocean. In back yard is a river - wet lands. You put paper towels out and in a few hours it’s wet !! It’s not even spring time here. Foggy every morning so bad you can see the water in the air. We didn’t even open the pool yet. Water temp is 48. Bay water is 52. Ocean is about 50 degrees

I live in south Florida so I know humidity. But your kitchen your decision. Let me leave you with this thought. In the history of time I have never heard these words. “I really like what we built but it has too much storage space” and it goes with “It was a lovely wedding ceremony, I just wish it was longer”

Our outside BQ build is on hold due to my knee. I made a call to Oasis Outdoor Living. I been in contact with them in January when we first started thinking about this build. I gave them the dimensions and what we wanted. Waiting on a price.

There she lays, untouched- it was a job just to open the pool Saturday and because I opened it later, it was green. I had to get in and vacuum with one leg. Lol. The cold water (51) I felt no knee pain. I will take pictures of the BQ build. We got a price already. Let’s start with all the appliances. I got a price of $6500 from BBQ -Because OASISSTONE is a dealer for the same name appliances , his price $5200. The same built we were doing - OASISSTONE gave us a quote $9200.00. We sign the contract hoping to get this done soon. That’s not a bad price. As I just sit here all summer. This really sucks when you can’t do anything.

That does not sound totally crazy. I bought all my appliances from BBQ Guys web site. I got a Blaze grill and side burner and a bunch of drawers and doors. It’s unbelievable how much drawers and doors cost!!!

We were talking to John this winter about this build. We keep it to the original plans. The BQ is 36 inches not 38. Single burner not double. The foundation is all done with the electric already that we did. His price is very close as if I was doing it. The stone is not real. It’s real cement that he carves it out to look like stone.

It is actually called a Mosquito Magnet. Home Depot used to sell them, but I don’t think they do anymore. Anyway just google Mosquito Magnet and you will end up at their website.

jimim, you had a pre fab BQ built?
No sorry I meant just my cabinet units. Louis and myself did the build of the kitchen itself and Dave built the cabinets to our choice. Dave used sapele cause it’s his go to wood for outdoor use for walls and ceilings. For decking ipe cause it’s even harder. They r both types of mahogany.

I have a access door for sink. And I have a 60 inch plus unit that is storage and my trash pullout.

While we were building and when done without my faucet.

It’s all done now. You can see how I matched my doors to ceiling. D7D7D590-9881-4120-9867-ACA5C9A59B7C.jpegDF53F9F3-84AD-4BF9-BCE7-18787D639E80.jpeg26914645-D119-4401-881E-F93BF9804781.jpeg
