Hi!

Here are my current K-2006 numbers:

FC: 8.5 ppm
CC: 0.5 ppm
pH: 7.4
Alk: 100 ppm
Ca: ? Seems to turn purple, even when adding R-0012 first to make up for iron / copper interference
CYA: <30 ppm

My plan is to add some CYA and more chlorine to keep CYA around 30 and shock level FC at 12 ppm. Any tips? Thanks!

Exactly that. Don't worry about any other testing until the SLAM is complete. Follow everything on the SLAM Process page and you'll do fine.

Follow up question, why does the Taylor kit say 30 ppm FC to shock and this site says 12?
Not quite sure I follow that one. Is it possible the 30 you are referring to is actually the CYA? A CYA of 30 requires an FC of 12.

After more poking around, I see that chart mentioned in a few places, to include the Taylor instructions card:

Looks like it's simply a standard industry product. Problem is it doesn't address the water's current CYA, so to arbitrarliy increase an FC level to 30 is a bit harsh. In addition, that may be considered the industry's one-time shock value and NOT a TFP SLAM Process that is "maintained" over an extended period until all 3 SLAM critertia have passed.

I would not utilize that chart.
