Hello, I am trying to find the source of air leaking into my popup filtration system. This morning while the pump was running I heard an air sucking sound come from one of the lids close to my skimmer lid. I opened it up and saw something that reminds me of the overflow pipe in a toilet tank but without the valve. I also have another unit on the opposite side of the pool with an autofill looking valve. There was definitely water and air going into the pipe itself. I should point out that there has been heavy rains in my area recently so it is possible that my water level might be higher than normal. Wonder if anyone can help me with the following three questions.
1) What is this thing?
2) Should air and water be sucked into the pipe itself
3) would air getting sucked into this pipe return via my popups?
