Resurfacing / Plaster Install Issues - Uneven Steps

I had entire pool surface chipped out and new glass tile installed at waterline and steps / bench.
During install of new surfacing material we’ve encountered 4 issues. The contractor offered to resurface entire pool but I am searching for alternatives that require less time and
potential damage to glass tile.
#1 Tile at steps scratched when installer was using tool to shape leading edge. - can we still get good aesthetics by chipping out tile and replacing it into surrounding surface?
#2 Leading edge of steps are uneven / not straight. I’m guessing this is due to amount of original surface that was chipped out. - can steps be built up and surfaced without resurfacing entire pool?
#3 Interior pool - Outside corner at sheer descent has a knife edge finish. - is there a tool that can shape a curved edge or is sanding the only option?
#4 Same corner has significant rippling and unevenness. Assuming this is also due to amount of old surface that was chipped away. - Is this acceptable workmanship for this area? Can it be built up and surfaced in this area alone?

Installers should have been able to use the plaster to build up any areas to make things even, the underlying plaster/shell will never be even.

1) Common problem and I am not sure there is a way to prevent it when using an aggregate pool finish. I think if you tried to chip out the tile and replace it, the retrofit would be obvious.
2) If they try to add material, it will not match up perfectly and will likely be visible
3) That is ridiculous and dangerous. Should be able to round that with sanding/grinding.
4) Those ripples are pretty bad. Again not sure they can build it up without it looking obvious.
 
I did not recommend anything ;)

Even if the tiles are replaced and just the steps were redone, the tiles may get scratched again ... although does not look like the tile on the other stair is scratched.

The only thing that I really do not like is the sharp edge which needs to be rounded. Beyond that, up to you to decide what you can and can't live with.
