Jandy AquaSeries Ei Pure Salt System Dealers here???

Odd. I don't understand how it can auto-detect since 220 has 4 wires (black, red, white, ground) and 110 has 3 (black, white, ground). I guess as long as you are powering it with at least 3 terminals (110 volt) it may be happy with that.
Normally when you see this the unit actually is a 110/120 device but has the ability to step down to 110/120 if plugged into a 220 outlet. I see this a lot with IT equipment

Probably there are 4 terminals to wire and depending on how you wire, the unit detects properly what it is wired for.

BTW: 220 volt "outlets" are quite different like an electric dryer outlet. There is no way to plug a 120 volt plug into a 220 volt outlet. It just doesn't work that way.

So now I have another question. I just started slamming my pool this weekend. I had to order the cable for the flow switch because this one got cut in half at some point over the last year and a half. Well, when I ordered, the site showed as in stock and allowed me to order no problem. Today I get an email stating "the cable is being shipped straight from the manufacturer because it has to be special made and will ship in approximately 15-17 days."

So now what do I do? Can I run the SWG without the flow switch until it gets here? It really frustrates me that this was not noted on the site when I ordered it. That is going to put the timeline of the cable getting here right as we are gone on vacation which means the flow switch won't be operational for another 3 weeks. Can I just splice the old cable together for now?

I would splice the old cable. It is just an "open/close" switch so no data is going across. A splice should work fine.

I have the other one spliced but it is just concealed with electrical tape and has been outside. I was afraid to plug it into the new unit for fear of shorting something out in the new box.

It is just an open/close switch. So a loop. When a connection is made for flow, it just connects the two ends together. You could bypass the flow switch by simply twisting these together. DISCLAIMER: Also just fyi this is usually how these switches work I am not familiar with your particular model! If it was me I would not hesitate to try it.

Well, I go to install the new unit today and get everything ready and there is no place to connect the flow switch. I read a little in the book and it seems it gets the flow reading from the cell instead of the flow switch. Does this make sense? I mean, I turned it on and it does not say “no flow.” So now I’m feeling like an idiot for ordering the cable...I just assumed it was the same unit I had.

It makes sense that it would include everything that is needed for it to work. Hopefully it is back working now!

Just wanted to update since there was some concern on the SWG size. It has been up and running for a month now. I turn it on when I leave in the mornings at about 7am (doesn't get turned on until 9-10 on weekends) and I normally turn it off around dark that evening. I have it set at 75% and the FC has been staying at a consistent 5.5 every time it is checked and all other chemicals are within range as well.
