Normally when you see this the unit actually is a 110/120 device but has the ability to step down to 110/120 if plugged into a 220 outlet. I see this a lot with IT equipmentOdd. I don't understand how it can auto-detect since 220 has 4 wires (black, red, white, ground) and 110 has 3 (black, white, ground). I guess as long as you are powering it with at least 3 terminals (110 volt) it may be happy with that.
