You need to adjust the cams inside the actuator. Remove the lid and loosen the splined lockout with a pair of channel locks. There is a cam for each direction of the actuator so play with their positioning a little and cycle the toggle switch until you get the rotation you need.

Finally got around to it. Thanks. Actuator stops are now set properly. Messy with all the grease in there. We've been swimming and water color much bluer, family loves the pool. They are visiting family, so I have KoolCote going on. Today was day 2, should finish tomorrow. They did a good job prepping/covering pool and house.

They finished the KoolCote yesterday. I vacuumed the pool today as there was a bit of sand from the mastic and other junk. I noticed a stain that I'm trying to identify. It looks like a leaf about dime size from the pool deck, roundish/slightly oval, brown/dark brown. There are a couple other small areas that look like lighter streaks, skinny maybe 1/4" in length...small not real noticeable from the deck. I don't think it's black algae. Not sure if the KoolCote guys dropped something in that stained it. Could this just be leafs/organic material that sat on the bottom when the pool was covered 2 days and I couldn't brush the pool? Hard to get a picture as it's in the deep end. KoolCote is coming back tomorrow to take a look.

Any final pics?
Still lots of loose ends to tie up, but here are a few dusk shots. I'm told our furniture in the pics below near the wall/columns doesn't match so it's moving and will be replaced with an L-shape sectional/couch. Everyone loves this pool. Had friends over today for first time. Water color is much bluer now and is a hit. More blue in pics below due to dusk lighting. Landscaping in progress.

Plaster has cured for 1 month, so the maiden journey of Mr. Roboto is underway. This is a Pentair Prowler 920 (re-branded Maytronics Dolphin). Very impressed with how it climbs walls. So far, no problems getting caught on the drains.

I'm getting air in my water feature setup and trying to rule out cavitation, as I'm not sure I do not have the best pump for this setup. I can create obvious cavitation by adjusting valves and getting the marble sound through the valve. Currently, I'm just seeing air in the basket and through the bypass return (a lot of air). No obvious leak from the pump basket lid.

Setup:
Pentair SuperFlo 1HP
Suction side
2" intake from pool direct to pump. No filter, etc. in this path. Short run < 25'

Return path
There are valves on all 3 returns that I can adjust
2" bypass back to pool. Terminated to a 1" return Short run < 25'
1.5" necking down to 1" feeding two water bowls. Length ~ 65'
1.5" feeding two bubblers. Length ~ 50'

I found the problem. The union on pump suction input is missing the O-ring and air is getting in. Just need to track down the part. I found this using technique on YouTube where I ran water from a garden hose over the various joints watching the air in the pump basket.

I'm dialing in settings and curious if anyone knows why the 3-way pool drain valve is setup as attached. My understanding is a typical pool has the drain valve ~50% open and the skimmers 100% open unless they need balancing. I had in my plans a 2-way valves on both skimmers and drain.

It's usually best to have the main drain at the far end of the stack so you can limit the flow without impacting the skimmers. In your case you can rotate that valve 180 degrees and then just crack it enough to get a little flow from the drain. 10-15 degrees is plenty and it's a good thing to limit it so the skimmers get the bulk of the suction.

Thanks Brian, makes sense. I moved the pins to L90 and rotated 180 degrees. Most of suction now coming from returns. IMG_4190.jpg
