    iAqualink cloud outage?

Our connection dropped yesterday at some point. Local/manual controls are fine but I can’t connect via the App or Web. I suspect it’s another server outage on their side...

Narrowing down PebbleTec color from 4

Excellent point ^^^. The Midnight Blue does great with the entire range of our color LED's with the exception of red (our PB warned us ahead of time that red doesn't show well except on light finishes).

Narrowing down PebbleTec color from 4

I'd go check out as many colors as you can... and keep in mind that it'll probably look different in your backyard. We looked at some of the colors on your list (Tahoe Blue in particular) but ended up going with Midnight Blue. IMO, it's got a better color depth to it with plenty of dark blues...

Some final time lapse stuff that I put together. The acid wash as well as some paver work: Pool Build Part 9 - YouTube The finish installation and acid wash: Pool Build Part 10 - YouTube I'll have snap some more pics but it's been pretty awesome so far. The spa is a huge hit with...

    New Build in NE FL

Yup, a "full Mansard" is where the enclosure attaches to the house then goes "up" to the horizontal screened surface before coming back down at the rear of the enclosure. A "half Mansard" is where the horizontal screened surface attaches directly to the home and extends horizontally before...

Fleming Island Fl- New Free Form Pool Build

Oh, that puts you pretty close to our new build also. We're off CR210 in South Hampton. I'm sure Christine (MotherShipp) would be fine with you taking a look at our build if it helps at all. :)

    Interior Finish Disclosure

Our PB had anecdotal stories of fire trucks accidentally blowing off sections of the finish. Apparently that's the reason it's no longer done in my area. Sounds like a possibility but I'm not 100% sure that it's the truth. As to the form, it sounds like CYA legalese that the builder, finish...

That bed is 5'x40'... gonna take more than a couple plaster casts to fill it up. ;) It looks really rad win the lights on... the pics do NOT do it justice.

I don't care what they say... that water is cold. The wall was really designed as a way to keep from having a slope/grade off the back of the enclosure. The yard naturally drops away ~8" over the depth of the structure vs the original concrete patio. Add to that another ~1.5" for the...

Sooooo... I have a whole bunch of timelapse stuff to finish compiling and post. In the meantime, some pics and updates: Last weekend we took some pavers we had from a previous deck that I'd done and used them to build a wall. To maintain some level of continuity, we used extra "thins" from...

New Pool - Gunite - Holes in bottom of the shell

Yup, weep holes are needed anywhere the water level is higher than the bottom of the pool. Having said that, the shell should be ~4 times as thick as the 2" measurement you mentioned. Are you sure that's the thickness of the shell and maybe it's not just that dirt has built up in the weep hole...

    need help picking a contractor

Serious question: Does it matter? Either he dropped it because of the cost (not getting enough business to make paying for it worthwhile) or maybe it got pulled due to code violations or complaints. Regardless of the reason, and even if he had a license, you've still got the same risk with him...

    New Build in NE FL

My wife (MotherShipp) chimed in earlier but a couple additional comments/suggestions/ideas from my side: #1- the 3' walkway along the back of the pool was something we kicked around and eventually nixed. 3' is enough to navigate but, when it's the length of the pool and bordered by a screen...

Minor setback... the finishers ran late on another job and couldn't get out yesterday. If they'd come today, that would've pushed back the final acid wash and fill to next week. Our PB (and I believe PebbleTec) require the pool to be filled with ~48 hours of interior finishing, the decision...
