    Help with capacitor replacement

    Here is the capacitor that came installed in the pump, and the repairman said was bad This is the new one I attached (but incorrectly) and spit out smoke when I turned it on. There was some condensation seeping out as well.

    The wires are red, black and green. I wired them as shown in this pic. (Red at the bottom right, black and the middle right, then green to the ground) Here are some other pics that may be helpful.
