Just noticed that This Evo line is similar to Some Polaris designs. Some of the filter parts are even a match to some Polaris models like Epic and a few others. I wonder how different this EVO model is from other Polaris ones...

is the "app" useful? It is a 15% premium on the base model 604. what kind of functionality does it allow? Edit : Just found the manual... let's you start/stop, which doesn't seem very useful, unless you tend to leave it in the pool all the time which I don't do. And the other is the manual...

Mine are all threaded ... i am using the black/yellow plastic plug on them. With some teflon tape on.

Hi there, Beginning of August i had a pH of 7.3. When I measured today, it was 7.9. Is this drift normal? It is a salt water viynl pool that is known to drift AFAIK, but I didn't expect it to be this much this fast. I was mostly keeping an eye on FC, not so much on pH. Full set of numbers ...

I guess it just needed one more day - bottom is clear now (y) And i guess a final question : with FC around 13 (CYA 30) and our pool not getting to much sun during the day, is it safe to swim with these elevated FC levels? It will probably take at least 3-4 days before it gets down to 5-6 FC...

Just to continue with this SLAM process : It has been 5 days now i think. Daily robot, 24h circulation, etc. Vacuumed / backwashed twice during this period. Pool is now clear. There isn't any chlorine loss overnight (at least in the error range of much measurement) But I am still seeing...

OK. Point taken re: "the process" I will admit I was trying to take shortcuts where I could. I need to dedicate the time somehow to get the regular testss/dose calculations in. The discussion was useful in helping me understand that vacuuming and backwash cannot be skipped. Thanks again!

Re: SLAM : in terms of maintaining the right FC levels? I figured a dose of HTH (higher FC then needed) would not hurt. I think my question was mostly about vacuuming and accumulation of algae in the sand filter. I don't want to lose too much water so i'm trying to avoid backwashing...
