So - does the speed of the pool pump affect the booster pressure to the cleaner?

I have a pressure side cleaner which requires a booster pump. My question is - does the speed of my normal pump matter? Will my cleaner work better if I increase the RPM speed of my pool pump when running the booster pump, or will that actually hurt performance? I'm thinking it's not useful...

I've had to overhaul mine once in the last 10 years, and replace the tail float. Otherwise - it's still good.

I have a Pentair Legend Platinum - 11 years so far. I've had to replace a few parts though: Feed mast, Ballast float, Mesh bag, and Wheel Bearings. All about $100 in parts. Apart from that - still running strong.
