With the TFTtestkit and I also used the Aquachek strips. I did both test twice. It just didn't seem right that over night for it to jump. We drained, cleaned and refilled today.

The hot tub came with pool life shock. We have been using a teaspoon a week and things have been great with the tub chemistry. Until last night we checked the levels and the CYA was 300. Out of the blue it just jumped. We checked it twice.

I have recently purchased my hot tub. I have always had a pool to care for and in my reading several places suggest no stabilizer as it can harm hot tubs. Thoughts.

I checked my pool levels yesterday and they are the same as they are today. The children are complaining of burning eyes. TC 3.5 FC 2 CC 1.5 PH 7.5 ALK 120 CYA the view tube is completely full, and I can still see the black dot clearly (done twice both days) Ch 50

Water is crystal clear.

My new test kit came today. Here are my results. FC 5 CC 1.5 Total 6.5 CH 300 ALK 30 CYA 50 I must admit it was a lot simpler than the strips. It's is a more in depth kit but my results were definite. Thanks for the advice. Now what should I do to get them up to level.

Roughly how many gallons of water are added to the pool at opening for a 24' pool? I have recently found out that my city will adjust the water bill but this was after I have filled it.
