First full test with TF-Pro - water blue but slightly cloudy

Sorry for the dumb question. Using the Pool Math app, it looks like I need to add 60oz of stabilizer, that makes sense. But when you say have someone add 5ppm of liquid chlorine per day, does that mean add enough to raise FC 5ppm? In the app that looks like 80oz (going from 5 to 10 FC as an...

First full test with TF-Pro - water blue but slightly cloudy

Thank you for all that! I have to travel for work Wednesday-Thursday this week; would I be better off starting the SLAM when I get back on Friday? If so, what should I add between now and then, stabilizer and more chlorine?

First full test with TF-Pro - water blue but slightly cloudy

I was using the included stir plate and at the 4th drop it fully changed and stayed to a light red. Unsure what my target CYA would be, previous owners used the trichlor pucks in an in-line auto-chlorinator. I wasn't planning on using those based on my initial readings on here and was going to...

First full test with TF-Pro - water blue but slightly cloudy

Followup to my first post as a new pool owner over the weekend. Pool company opened pool last Thursday and dumped in chlorine and algicide (water was fairly clear to begin with but a fair amount of dirt/sediment on the bottom. I've vacuumed/brushed everything so the walls and bottom are clean...

I’ll add that the water was pretty clear but a lot of sediment and some leaves on the bottom. I just vacuumed and the water is cloudy but I’m guessing that is also expected as some of that sediment was stirred up

Ok thanks. The constant shaking and pausing longer in between drops helped. Exactly 30 drops and it went clear. I guess that’s still high and higher than the pool store test. Based on the company that opened it three days ago adding chlorine and algaecide, is it just waiting for the chlorine...

Thanks, I am letting gravity do its job. At first (new bottle) they did come out fairly quick at around at 45 degree angle. Now nothing comes out unit I give it the gentlest of squeezes until one drop releases. After 20-30 drops like that there is still no real discernible change from the dark...

Just received my TF-Pro kit and maybe I'm holding it wrong. First test I tried was the free chlorine test. Instructions say to fill 10ml of pool water and one scoop of R-0870 power. The water turns very dark pink and takes around 90-100 drops of R-0871 to turn clear. We're new pool owners, just...
