    Thank you very much, ajw22. I replaced the shaft seal three years ago when I switched the pump to variable speed. So, I guess the shaft seal I used was not of high quality, especially for salt water. Do you have any suggestions for the shaft seal?

    I just noticed that my pump is leaking (see picture, I can see water dripping from where the bolt is, but not sure where the leak is). What are the common causes and where should I start diagnosing them? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. Wan

    I am trying to open the top of a Pentair Triton sand filter for a deep clean but found it hard to open. I think I forgot to put on some lubricate the last time it was opened. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I will try turning the motor by hand. If the motor is dead, I will be interested in upgrading to a robot. I think I will do it sooner or later. Could you please provide more details on this? Thanks very much!
