    I just don't get it

Passed the OCLT this morning (FC of 28 last night and this morning) and CC of zero. We are good to go! Thanks everyone for your assistance.

I can't remember to be honest I've had it for a few years. I think it was eBay and I used a freight forwarder in the US (myus.com)

CC result of > 6.0? should i SLAM?

Re: CC result of > 6.0? should i SLAM? A lot of Australian pools have waterfalls - if yours does that is a great way to aerate. - - - Updated - - - A lot of Australian pools have waterfalls - if yours does that is a great way to aerate.

    I just don't get it

I'm using a speed stir so here is a 5ml line on that tube in any event - thanks though.

I am aiming for a FC level of 31, which is high (obviously). Is it possible to do the FC test with a 5ml sample so that each drop is 1ppm to save reagent?

    I just don't get it

Thanks. My understanding was that there would always be CCs if there is something in the pool. Now I need to SLAM in the middle of summer :-( How long will it take the chlorine to drop from a slam level of 31 to something reasonable to swim in?

    I just don't get it

Hi all, I have been having trouble keeping my pool balanced all summer (here in Australia). It is a 32000 liter SWG pool. My readings last night were as follows: FC - 8.5 CC - 0 CYA - 85 PH -7.3 TA - 60 CH - 350 Salt - 5400 Pool temp - 30 degrees C (86F) This morning, the FC has dropped to...

    Nicaragua situation

If you get a SWG you could also significantly over-size it for your pool (and run it at only 10-20%). That way if you need to increase the chlorine level suddenly, you can do so.

Why is my ph always high?

My pool has an auto doser for the acid which keeps the PH pretty well exactly at 7.4. This is connected to a 15l (4 Gallon) drum which lasts about 8 weeks - so I am using the same amount. I also have a SWG and the pool is only small (8000 gallons).

Which is best salt test METER?

Isn't it just as easy to use the K-1766?

How long will my chlorine take to go down?

I agree. I am only new to this but I have been using the Taylor test kit every day for a couple of weeks now so I am getting better at it :-) I just always thought that the Lamotte Spin test was the most accurate. How can they get it wrong - lamotte has removed all the room for error!

How long will my chlorine take to go down?

Ok, after a couple of weeks, I think my levels are now close to acceptable. I just did a full test using my K-2006 (plus salt option). Results as follows: FC: 8.5 CC: 0 - 0.5 PH: 7.4 (I have an automatic doser which seems to be keeping this in check). TA: 130 CH: 275 CYA: 42 Salt: 5200 I...
