The white cable (4 wires) goes to the sending unit for wi-fi. The receiver is in the attic of my house near the router. As for the green cable......there is no green cable, these are the remaining 6 "unused" wires from the RS-485 cable. And yes, the power is off.

The ScreenLogic on my Apple phone worked great with the single speed WhisperFlo, are you saying it may not when I switched to the WhisperFlo VST?

That may be part of the issue, it is wired 240v, currently through the controller. The pump does operate only when you start / stop it from the keypad on the motor.
