I generally feel the same way about reviews, but when the risk is $15k-$20k, even a few people losing that seems too extreme of a risk to take for me. I just want to do everything I can to lower that risk before I take the leap. I appreciate all of the responses so far!

I'm looking to buy a 20-25k gallon in-ground steel or polymer wall vinyl-lined pool. I've looked at several companies including royalswimmingpools, nationalpoolwholesalers, and poolwarehouse. I'm willing to look at others if anyone has any recommendations.

20k gallons. That's fine if that's the going rate, but I still can't afford it. Anyway, your point about the delivery drivers is kind of the reason I'm paranoid to order. So many people eating $10k+ purchases because they sign for something before inspecting, but they can't hold the delivery...

Thank you for the information. With the Raypak, installed in a pool shed, I assume I need the 'indoor stack' vent kit? It looks like the outdoor is just painted to protect it from the weather. If I get that kit, then run it into another few feet of ducting into a chimney, will I be OK with...

So I would bend that plumbing up right after it comes out of the heater, and go up to 6" above the highest point in your plumbing and put the salt cell there. I'm not sure if 6" is standard, so check your manual, but my SWG installation said to put it 6" above highest plumbing. Then just route...

Either way, it should be downstream of the heater. The check valve is cheap and won't hurt anything.

I guess what I'm really asking is why would anyone NOT get the low nox? They appear to be smaller, cheaper, and have the same output in addition to less gas emissions. Are they less reliable? More points of failure?

I'm not a TFP expert or anything, but you need to mount that SWG after the heater, with a check valve between the heater and SWG. You don't want the highly chlorinated water going back into your heater. Additionally, it's hard to say without seeing your setup, but you should be able to get it...
