Our travertine for our coping came in and our PB just now realized it can't be used on a free form pool!!!

I really love the pieces that came in so I'm going to push back today and see what the PB says about getting another Masonry crew.

The more replies I read, it is reassuring me that it's the lack of skill of the masonry the PB brought in. The PB actually suggested using large pieces of lueder and/or limestone which is NOT an option for me.

I'm afraid that is exactly what is happening. Up until now we've had a smooth construction build, I just hate to encounter this so close to the end. But you are absolutely right.

Looks GREAT! I think you are absolutely right and I will be providing multiple pictures of projects that have been done. Were you offered the bullnose finish? We were told ours would include it (and change order added it also) and now we are being told that it's not even an option for travertine??

Beautiful! I'm clearly starting to doubt what I've been told by the masonry gentleman ?? I attached pics on my original post of what was shown to me....looks NOTHING like this.

I just added some pics. I guess our pool has a lot of curves and the masonry guy said it wouldn't be a clean flush look.

Our travertine for our coping came in and our PB just now realized it can't be used on a free form pool!!!

I guess it IS a good mistake then. What was I thinking that made me believe travertine was a hardy stone for coping? (palm to the head) Thank you for your feedback on "No limestone or sandstone". I'm making notes on "keywords" since I have no idea what I'm talking about regarding options and...

Our travertine for our coping came in and our PB just now realized it can't be used on a free form pool!!!

I literally just came back from outside with our PB and the masonry guys. Our PB apologized about not realizing that the travertine coping would not take a smooth shape on our freeform pool. I watched them cut several pieces and try to piece them together but the closest they came is a very...

Your advice was great! I have attached the contract and ask if you don't mind reviewing it for any obvious items that I may be missing (of course I will not hold you personally liable) ;) Thank you!!
