Metal staining still seems to be my occasional problem. "Metal Out" gets the stain dissoveld & then CuGator traps it out - I think. What say u? Thanks again.

Update 7/2022 Switched to salt 3/2021 and had no more problems. CY is regulated by strips & I add trichlor or plain CY from a container. CL is always 2~3 and CY is 50 max. New liner coming at end of this season. It was a big help to me seeing your website & feeling like i wasn't the only one...

I took out the last 12 pucks - they were only 10% dissolved. So my CYA should be 20+1=21 =10.5 lb x 3.3 == ~35ppm Think it's and emergency to bring the CL down? it's only been 4 days.

Excellent point. I didn't know about the vinyl wrinkling because of low pH &/or high CL. If you are SLAMing, how long is it ok to keep CL at 15 or better? I've pushed the pH back up to 7 safe enough for now? Thanks again.
