Is chlorine just broken down by direct sunlight or does heat also break it down? In an indoor pool would you need to use any CYA? This is just a theoretical question. I don't have an indoor pool and keep the CYA level in my pool at about 40. I'm just curious.

Exactly what I have. I don't need to see a doctor to know it is bug bites. My only question is what kind of bugs and what to do about it.

I did a google on "biting bugs in swimming pool". There are articles about Water Boatmen and Back Swimmer bugs, and others. I never heard anything about these bugs. I don't see any bugs in the pool. I keep the pool pretty clean. Has anyone here ever had problems with biting bugs in their pool?

It is bleach with no additives. I know to check that. My question is how to find out the percentage of chlorine in it so I can compare it to other products.

I bought some bleach at Publix. It says "50% more uses, concentrated" but it does not give me a percent. How can I compare deals if I don't know the percent of chlorine in it?

In pool school it says CYA is typically kept between 30 and 60ppm. That is a wide range. Where do you keep yours, and why? Also, I thought I read somewhere on this site that it is kept between 30-80. Is 80 too high, or is there a difference of opinion on this?
