I would use the 3-way to run a bypass for your heater. Your schematic didn't have a heater bypass. let's say 8 years (hopefully longer or never ;)) down the road, the heat pump has an issue/leak. With a bypass, no problem, keep running everything just without heating the water. Without a...

Passed OCLT, but can't get cloudy water clear?

Thanks! First rule of our diving board, Don't Dive. Second rule of our diving board, Don't Dive. It's more like a jumping board.

    Vinyl liner replacement.

That’s an awful lot of measurements. I understand measure twice cut once, but measure 4 times? Somebody doesn’t know what they’re doing. I’m sure there is a good marine tape out there. I don’t have any I can specifically recommend, but FlexTape/Seal makes a ton of amazing products that work...

Do not use rebar, as everyone else has said. No doubt your boss is amazing with concrete. As you said though, he’s never built a pool like this and has never worked with vermiculite. I am a retirement plan consultant and investment adviser. I have only ever worked with mutual funds. Would you...

    Storage of Pool Items

Zelle? ;) Consumer: Your product was broke when I took it out of the box. Manufacturer: Oh, it’s designed that way. Give it time and it will break some more and be just what you’re looking for. Amazing!

    Storage of Pool Items

I am glad I read this whole post. I saw the discount you got them for (we use BJs) and I was about to tell my wife to get them…then I read the rest. I got a five spot says they send you two new ones but I’m not confident they will be built any better. Thanks for the review!

    How to get water clear

It's not just the southern US, same in northern Ohio. Closest cottonwood tree I have found to me is roughly a quarter mile away, yet I have skimmed enough cottonwood "fluff" out of my pool for my girls to produce makeshift pillows to use for their dolls. Some days, I'll walk by someone's yard...

IMO, as long as your collar is set, it doesn't particularly matter the order. Ideally, I think you'd backfill as you filled the pool keeping the water and backfill approximately even. In my case, the pool was entirely filled before we backfilled anything. IMO, I'd think this is preferred as to...

x2 Two additional things to consider if you don't already have planned: running an empty conduit to the junction box in case you want to expand electrical capacity out there at some point, and also adding a convenience GFCI receptacle to your junction box

Not 100% sure what pieces you're trying to fit together, but you should be able to find the right size reducer/increaser couplings whether they're slip x slip, threaded x slip, etc. to get done what you need. Maybe it just takes a couple of couplings. It definitely does not go in that way...

    Piping a heater bypass

Sounds like a good plan! Little hard to tell how neatly everything will fit from that picture angle but looks like it could/should work. Not sure if you can get the angles to work but you might be able to just put the 3 way where that 90 is next to the vertical pipe going up to SWG and do the...
