Is it ok to throw trichlor directly in the pool?

I'm sick looking for CYA here in Thailand, so I'm about to start using Trichlor to rise up my CYA level. It seem like I need to add 2 kg. to rise CYA to 40 ppm, I plan to add it 100 g. a day (truning my SWG off). Is that a good idea? My trichlor is in form of powder, not as fine as flour but...

Why running a SWG in day time is better than at night?

Thanks linen , jblizzle. I think my confusion is that I think chlorine kill algae, but it seam like what we want is to prevent algae to start. Then the trick is do what ever not to lower FC below the minimum. I think I got it.

Low Pressure in Return Line/Polaris not moving?

First of all, If that 280 is in the pool before you, so I think it should be working without adding universal fitting you have been added. I pretty sure the powerful return with the jet head is removable and then you can attached your Polaris to that port. Here is the Polaris connection. And...

I'm confusing after reading pool school section. I know that sun light consume chlorine, so why should I run my SWG at day time? Is it better to run in late evening and leave chlorine to work all night?

any Robotic pool cleaner that work with 220V?

I'm in Bangkok, Thailand. We only have 220v here and I don't want to use a step down transformer to 110v and then use the power supply to step it down again to 24V. I'm sure Dolphin can work with 220V, I just would like to make sure I don't miss other brand that can work with 220V.
