Pentair Whisperflo pump appears dead. It was over 10yrs old. Got pretty noisy last summer so not unexpected, but when I turned it on today it just hums. Could it be a result of too much DE? I lost count when re-filling and may have added 1-2 extra scoops. Pressure seems good, I may vacuum and backwash just in case. Also, I think there is a small leak in one of the PVC connections just after the pump.

I guess it depends on the robot. I only have a Polaris so I take that out. I don't want it stirring up the bottom after I brush but before I vacuum. If yours is a vacuum that is a different story.
