    Pipe connection

HI, I'm trying to replace some piping, due to a leak....have most of fittings, but I've run into a problem I have a Hayward swim clear cartridge filter , and the "cartridge filter plumbing kit" that connects to the bulkhead fitting has me stumped. The slip connector that attaches to the...

    Troubleshooting a Blue Diamond

I ended up sending mine back, they paid for shipping. They repaired it and shipped it back; apparently it was a bad motor. They were very responsive and prompt. It's been working great. I'm very happy with how it performs, but I'm also nervous about the possible quality issues. Since I'm...

    Air in Liquidator lines

I couldn't get a seal without a hose clamp(s) on the barbed connections. Strange. It does work, though. Liquidator is working great now. Tim

    Air in Liquidator lines

thanks, all your suggestions helped. I really had to seal those threads on the flow indicator, and added a hose clamp to the control valve. I don't see any more air entering. So far so good. Thanks!

    Air in Liquidator lines

Thanks for the tips. I put a check valve between the flow indicator and the strainer basket....didn't seem to help much. I put some hose clamps on the tubing adapters on the flow indicator, and that helped a significant amount. I can adjust the flow without a ton of air getting entrained in...

    Air in Liquidator lines

Finally got around to installing the liquidator. Thanks for all the advice/tips in this forum. My problem is I'm still getting air in the line right after the flow meter. I'm using the 1/4 supplied vinyl tubing. I tried teflon tape on the threads on the the flow meter, then tried the...

    Troubleshooting a Blue Diamond

Just received a blue diamond cleaner, and haven't gotten it to work. When I put it in the pool, the propeller works for about one minute, the unit doesn't move at all, and then after one minute it shuts off. It's not the electrical outlet. I cycle it on and off several times, it always shuts...

    Choosing a Liquidator size

Thanks for the replies. I have access to 12%, but I usually just end up with 6% bleach. So, I guess the 8 gallon size would make more sense?

    Choosing a Liquidator size

HI, I would like to get a liquidator, but I'm stuck on what size I should get. I have an inground, 22,000 gallon vinyl-lined pool. Full sun all day. We have about a 4 month swimming season. I'm not sure if the 8 gallon would be too large, or if the 4 gallon one would require too frequent...

    performing the CYA test

Thanks for the reply, and the link. The link shows me what I'm doing wrong: I still see a darkish area on the bottom in the tube with the completed test...clearly the test dot is gone, but I've been misinterpreting whatever I see at the bottom as the dark spot. I've been over-thinking it...

    performing the CYA test

HI, This is perhaps a stupid question, but the CYA test has always driven me crazy. Exactly how much does the "black dot disappear till the test has ended? Maybe it's an optical illusion on my part, but often that stupid black dot never really disappears, or it just distorts to an oval...
