Thanks! There does seem to be some residual in the tester, I will clean it. I chose the ph minus because I thought it wouldn’t lower the TA as drastically as muriatic would. I have a vinyl pool and plastic ladder. Should I be worried to use in the future? I bought a 6lb bag

Hi. My ph was creeping up last summer and this year when I opened it was 8. TA 80(pool store said 77). After adding ph minus to bring down to 7.7 I was shocked that TA went to 90. Fully expected it to go down. Tested twice. Could this be right?

Thanks so much! The water didn’t even have a tinge of pink when I added the powder tot he sample so it didn’t seem right not to add anything. It’s protected with the polyquat but open to the sun for a day

Thank you for the tip on the ladder! We just pulled it out. Gonna spray it with a bleach solution tomorrow before i scrub. We drained it but ill dump a little bleach in the holes. I DONT want to start this over again.
