Pool Math LC Addition Calculation Incorrect

That's what I'm thinking. I never had this issue in the past either, nor with other chems I'm adding when suggested by pool math, so it seems like it has to be the chlorine. That's annoying 😅 but also hopefully easy to fix. Thank you!

Pool Math LC Addition Calculation Incorrect

Thank you! Yes this is what I suspect...is it possible that the chlorine manufactured just a month ago is 6% rather than the labeled 12.5%? Have you seen that before? It seems the most plausible to me because the chemicals other than liquid chlorine added are resulting in the correct expected...

Pool Math LC Addition Calculation Incorrect

Hey all. Unsure what to do here. I am using 12.5% Blue Whale liquid chlorine (from Leslie's). I checked the box, and the manufacturer date is very recent (sometime in mid February 2025), and I store it in a dark closet, so I doubt degradation is an issue. When calculating on pool math to raise...

    Is a SWG worth it?

    That's a helpful tip, thanks!

    Is a SWG worth it?

If the main drain is sealed, how is the pool drained if needed? Does the water then only circulate back to the pump from the skimmers? (We have 2) The pool is old (1994) and has had equipment replaced on and off throughout the years I'm assuming. We bought our house in 2022, so the way it is...

    Is a SWG worth it?

We're going to be planning a pretty big pool renovation and update soon, and are curious if it's worth adding a SWG? Here's our situation...We already need to add a second drain (split our current single drain), update our electric, update automation, replace spa jet system, replace pool and spa...

    Draining attached spa

Thank you! The climate I live in, running water likely won't ever freeze - including the spillover - so it's more about keeping everything moving. We only have 1-2 freezes a year, and they're not usually sustained for more than a day or so.

    Draining attached spa

Hi! This is probably a beginners question so my apologies. I need to reduce the water level in my attached spa to access the jets to change them. I'm attaching photos of my plumbing. Do I just switch the drain from pool to spa mode, but not switch the returns? So it displaces the spa water to...

Pentair Mastertemp 250 HLS recurring issues

The issue persists if the spa spillover valve (blue circle) is closed. It actually makes it worse, because the spa doesn't refill at higher pump speeds without the spillover on. I'll look into the port on the actuator, thank you! I am not using the tablet feeder! Though I know it was in heavy...

Pentair Mastertemp 250 HLS recurring issues

Here's a photo of our plumbing, in pool mode. Yellow = valves that turn to change pool to spa mode Red = pool fountain feature (currently off) Blue = spa spillover feature (currently on) As a note, the check valve that is below the spa spillover valve is the new one, the old one was the kind...

Pentair Mastertemp 250 HLS recurring issues

Oh interesting. It's definitely not the actuators because they were replaced and it's still happening. Is there a particular valve I should be looking at or checking? (Sorry - newbie!)
