I agree. I'm just afraid if I change the sand now with floc in there it will just mess up the new sand. I'm facing the fact that this floc isn't going to settle. We let it set over 48 hours then tried letting it set again a few days later, no settling at all.

Do I need to add stabilizer (CYA)? I haven't added any but Isee in the instructions to SLAM the pool its says it works best if CYA is around 30-40. I have a bag of stabilizer at home but I thought I was supposed to add that once the pool was clear. Please let me know if I need to go ahead and...

I have printed everything out and will now to and look in pool school for what the abbreviations stand for. I think CC is combined chlorine and FC is Free Chlorine but no idea what CYA is I'll look there now and also get that test kit ordered.
