Sharing my recent (pleasant) experience with battery powered leaf vac

I have a lot of trees so I get a lot of leaves and seeds in the pool this time of year. I had seen, but dismissed the battery operated leaf vac on Amazon. Recently, I gave it a try, and was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness and practicality. To be clear, I have no relationship with the...

Oh wow. It says clearly on this page that Teflon based stuff that I was using gets sticky .. no wonder. I will switch to Magic Lube II effective immediately. Thank you so very much.

Tight strainer lid .. any advice?

Thank you James. I added the Aladdin Magic Lube. While on this topic, is this still the best lubricant, or are there better options these days? Thanks and Happy New Year.

Tight strainer lid .. any advice?

The lid of the strainer basket on my Hayward Tristar single-speed 2hp pump is very tight. Any advice on how to open it safely and without superhuman strength? Also, any advice on how to prevent this from happening again? Many Thanks!

    Muriatic acid addition

It is in the 10 ounce range, so the potential for collecting at the bottom and damaging the pool is not high. I must admit that I am more driven by the nastiness of the MA fumes to seek better solutions. Thanks

    Muriatic acid addition

Thank you Maddie. I figured out a solution - not the most elegant, but minimally sufficient. I took a lid from an older jug, and drilled a hole in it. When I need to pour MA I temporarily replace the lid with this perforated lid. Happy Summer

    Muriatic acid addition

G'day. I may be asking a question that may have been answered before, but I just couldn't find it with my limited searching skills. I buy muriatic acid from Home Depot, and this stuff comes in one-gallon jugs. I am looking for a replacement to the lid of these jugs that can help me add the acid...
