Not sure I am following. Are you saying hold the bold to keep from losing water while changing out the fitting to a bigger size? Also issue is we need a threaded fitting as ours isn’t. So much for being universal lol. I wasn’t sure when you said cut. It is one of the vinyl pools. Luxor I think.

I recently purchased a Polaris turtle 66 vacuum for my above ground 24/52 pool and the return we have is an eye type that doesn’t fit the return. We have not been able to find or make a coupling. It appears to be a 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 which seems odd. Has anyone had this issue. What did you do? I am...
