    Polaris 9550 Sport Troubleshooting Help

For what it's worth, I'm having the same problem.

    Time to replace salt cells?

Walmart has 10% pool chlorine (bleach) in their lawn/garden dept. It's about $3.70 per gallon. At least that's the case here in sw GA.

    Pool Size: 16 x 35 S300i or polaris 9350 or Aquabot 2000/1500

I've had a Polaris 9550 for 3+ years with no problems. It cleans well, including climbing the wall. It has a LARGE retrieval box which can hold alot of leaves and tree debris. It has a timer you can set for a schedule and a count down timer to set each time you start the cleaner in the pool...

    Polaris 93/94/95/9650 Owners Club

I've had a 9550 for 2.5 years and have been very happy with it. Just read a review of the 9650 and it looks to me as if the phone control is the only real difference. Unless you plan to leave the cleaner in the pool, (which is not recommended by Polaris), I don't see much advantage to having...

    Polaris 9350

I've had the 9550 model for 2 years. I like it a lot. It does a great job cleaning the pool and excels at gathering the leaves into the big collection box. It just went out of warranty, so I am holding my breath based on problems with some of the older models. If it lasts 5 years total I'll...

    Found the hidden algae

I don't think algae will collect in the return or suction lines because there is too much flow. - - - Updated - - - - - - Updated - - - I got rid of my pressure side cleaner too, but hooked the line up that went into the boost pump into the ps return line. At the pool wall it's a 2 inch...

    Found the hidden algae

My pool water has been clear but my fc usage has been too high causing me to run my swg IC40 at 80%. Also, getting a lot of milky debris coming off the cartridge filter when I clean it. So, from past experience and comments here, I knew there must be algae hiding somewhere in the system. It...

    can an ic40 be repaired

Thanks for the comments. In looking at mine, it seems that the unit's plastic case is sealed when it is made. IOW, there is no apparent way to disassemble it. So, I don't see how repair is possible. But still people buy and sell them on ebay for parts and repair. Go figure.

    can an ic40 be repaired

I see several Intellichlor IC40 swg on ebay for sale "as not working for parts or repair." Is it possible to repair these? Are there any useful parts to be salvaged other than the flow switch?

    First Robotic Cleaner

I have this exact same cleaner as well and am very happy with it. I concur with all these comments. I cannot yet speak to it's longevity as it is now just in the second season of use. It has a 2 year warranty. So far it has been trouble free.

When we lived in Texas, a scorpion.

Good idea to switch to cartridge filter?

If you want to not need to back wash then a cartridge filter is the way to go. But you probably won't get through a pool season without needing to clean the cartridge filter based on pressure buildup. Depending on the length of your swim season and whether or not you close the pool for the...

    cc150 filter stuck on core

Has anyone had their clean and clear filter cartridge get stuck on the plastic core. This is the second time it has happened to me. I cut the first one off. The cart seems loose at the bottom, but the top rubbery like ring won't slide up and off the plastic core. Wondering how I could get it...

Add SWG to my pool now? or wait till spring?

That's a good decision to wait. I wanted to chime in about closing the pool or keeping it open. The first year we had our pool, I closed it and found it to be a lot more work than just keeping it open. There's all the work of filling water bags and putting the cover on and taking it off...
