Can PoolMath be updated to the new jug sizes?

This time of year the only chlorine I can get is in the form of bleach from the grocery store, and they've all moved to "concentrated" formulas.. the old 6.0% 121oz jugs are now 7.4% 81floz jugs. PoolMath does not have a selection for 81fl, and I am horrible at math. Unless I just don't see it...

    12 days of Slam

I wanted to mention another spot I found algae hiding in my pool and it was the steps. The edges of the bracket thingies that holds the liner in place at the steps? I found a lot of black gunk hiding in there. I used a toothbrush to get it out and dispensed bleach into the crevasse with a...

    What to do? Mud..

I LOVE the Metal Magic method of getting rid of staining. You can see that I had a LOT.. and I've removed all of it without ascorbic acid, which means no fighting with chlorine being eaten up for days! It takes overnight and doesn't instantly lift stains like the powder but that's fine by me...

    What to do? Mud..

Here we are today :) I'm not done yet. Seem to be having a small algea outbreak probably due to the heat and having to let the floc settle. I tried to mix some bleach in while that was going on, but it wasn't enough apparently. :hammer: I've been slamming for a few days, it's looking super...

I can't figure out what is wrong, and the pool people haven't been helpful at all :(

This is a fairly old thread I bumped up just incase someone ended up searching for a similar issue. There were a lot of weird things going on with the pool but it seems to be running good now. My best guesses are: The slow down of the pump, and the dirty backwash water despite clear pool: I'm...

I can't figure out what is wrong, and the pool people haven't been helpful at all :(

I thought I would provide an update in case anyone’s search brings them to this thread! I ended up finding the air leak today. We took a water hose and ran it over all the exposed pipe. It worked!! The leak seems to be in the joint coming right out of the pump, so NOT UNDERGROUND! When we get...

    What to do? Mud..

I know we like progress pics!! First round of vac done. I am refilling. I also brought the chlorine up and agitated it with the net. I’m gonna run the robot and then let it sit for another 24hrs and see what i’m left with. I’m pretty impressed with the floc and that vaccum attachment (with the...

    What to do? Mud..

We purchased the house a year ago, and the pool has probably been there already for 30+ years, based on what I saw with google maps. So I imagine over the years the ground has shifted because of things the owners did, nature, etc. It looks like they had planted two large bushes that had just...

    What to do? Mud..

Ahhhh... AHHHH... :drown: So I had to come back to this thread. I waited a MONTH for my pool to clear itself, patiently...and it finally did, for about half a week. And then we have another hellashish rainfall, the entire city was flooding all over. I do not know what's up with the rain this...

    What to do? Mud..

I chickened out and still haven't tried to floc it. I'm just so worried it won't work lol. It is slowly...slowly...slowly... clearing. I was able to see a leaf in the deep end yesterday, though it was very hard to see. The shallow end is pretty clear. I have been backwashing, adding water, and...

ABOUT TO SLASH MY ? POOL/ Cloudy nightmare

You've added too many things to your pool to really recover from at this point. And it was at the advice of the pool store... which is why everyone says don't go there! Really, please, stop going there. They are not going to help you. What is oxidizing? I'm not even sure I've heard that term...

    What to do? Mud..

Yep! I already purchased the floc, and I also picked up a different vacuum to do this with. The one I had is very small, it has brushes on it, and it's REALLY hard to move around the pool for some reason - like maybe it starts getting stuck due to the suction? So the one I picked up is longer...

    What to do? Mud..

Well... I think I've decided I'm going to use floc on Wednesday. I'm waiting because we have the remnants of a tropical storm coming right over us Monday night and I don't know if it's going to flood like that again. If by Wednesday it looks significantly different I may change my mind. I have...

    What to do? Mud..

Still a mess... I guess it's looking a little brighter. Not so pea green :hammer: After 48hrs of settling I could see the shallow end, but honestly there wasn't a whole lot there. A few lines of dirt. I attempted using the manual vacuum, but honestly, it seemed to just push it back into the...

    What to do? Mud..

YEP. I just watched helplessly from my kitchen in detached horror. Lol I can see bottom today!!! *in the shallow end* The pump has been off less than 24 hours so I think that’s a good sign. Still very cloudy so I’m thinking of letting it settle until tomorrow. Then to throw the vaccum in or...
