Best NG Heater? My Raypak RP2100 rusted out....Please help!

2 issues i see. 1. should have installed the heater on blocks or bricks , will prevent the jacket [ metal ] from rusting out . 2. paint all of your exposed pvc pipes [ color or type doesn't matter] to protect against the harmful ultravilot rays of the sun , [ makes pvc brittle ] its code...

a neutral is not used in 220 vac configurations , don't know what hp your motors are however in the lower hp motors 1/2 - 1.0 most can be switched to operate from 120 vac to 240 vac , perhaps the motor they installed was switched to run 120 vac , them connecting to your 220 - 240 vac...

Crack in PebbleTec Spa Step - Rebound issue or Salt System?

agree, don't blame salt . if you were there during the plastering you will remember the last areas to get plastered is the spa & specifically the spa steps also the pool and more specifically the steps , by the time the plasterers get to those areas the plaster material has more than likely...

ColorLogic Lights both stopped working ??

sounds like your gfci located at the equipment is tripped , most installations use 1 gfci for both pool & spa light , if there is a problem with either light the gfci will trip, whereas the good light will not work either, go out to your equipment area & look for a gfci, it may be in the...

    Pressure Concerns.

I agree with what Texas Splash said, while 20 psi is not un-workable [ most all filters will withstand psi up to 50 psi] you definitely don't want your psi to get that high, you mentioned that you reciently plumbed in a heat pump , perhaps the plumbing could be a source of your psi ?

Pump Motor Failing - Go cheap or variable speed?

just a small input, consider the pentair v/s pump is pretty bulletproof [ ive installed many & have yet to have a problem , the pump wet end [ the part that does the moving of water ] is a 3.0 hp whereas the motor is rated at 7.5 - 8 hp 3 phase , the mfg is able to get 3 phase by the design...

    Filter Style Sanity Check

they all have pros & cons , first the sand filter does not filter as fine of particles as the other 2 , and almost always need backwashing weekly, thus loss of not only water but where you have a chlorine gen sys you lose salt & cya. you can add a floucculating agent for better filtering...
