    deck

Why not butt up to the pool? You can install tie downs for the winter along the edge and then remove them in spring. I pull string in between the deck boards to a hook below. Pool covers stays in place with high winds. In the picture, the deck boards are new. Once they dry out, a gap of about...

    Nitro Wall Climber

Ok, The Nitro wall climber in a big pool 21'x43' works good on the bottom. There is just too much wall for a 3 hr cleaning cycle. Also, the Nitro tends to stay on the outer edges. It misses some of the floor in the center. No big deal, I just brush the center out to the edges and then throw the...

    Nitro Wall Climber

If that's the case, they need to stop advertising that this equipment can do heaving cleaning. I expect products to live up to what they claim. I do use my net to get all the leaves and junk of the bottom . I also noticed that there is plenty of room in the intake ports to pull in small leaves...

    Nitro Wall Climber

Pool looks good. The Nitro pulled all the dirt off the bottom. It wasn't able to get the leaves all that well. Some the of leaves were big. Not sure how it will do on acorns or sweet-gum balls. That will be this fall. Over all, for the price, I'm happy with it.

    Nitro Wall Climber

Well, I’m tired of looking at the pool cover. My Nitro wall climber just came in and it’s time to give the little bugger a test drive. Pulled the cover off the pool and chucked him overboard. :whip: Let me tell you, If this little guy can clean what I found waiting for me, I’ll give him a...

New Outdoor Bar/Kitchen Build near new pool

Put a drawing together so we can see the orientation of the kitchen. Show where you want the grill so we can see how far away from the wall it will be. Put dimensions in the drawing. You can do the drawing in paint and save it as a jpeg. If you get an account with Photobucket, you can just...

    Backyard Masters

If the ground is not very level and you have trees to deal with, I would just hire that out. It's not cheap to rent a Bobcat or Backhoe if you have never used them before. If the ground is somewhat level with no trees and you know how to use a Bobcat, then I say rent the Bobcat and go at it. You...

    Backyard Masters

Ground prep is still the same for oval as appose to round. The only difference is the uprights on the sides. They have to be level and straight. They also may need more room on the outside if they have gussets. If your going to spend time building the pool, you should make sure you get what you...

    Backyard Masters

Hey Alpha, You should be able to get a set of instructions for that pool online. PDF doc. That would be a good read for anyone who wants to know what's involved. You could also go to this thread. This is my pool build. Never did one before. You will also see advice from others on this forum...

Building on my own, need suggestions....DIGGING STARTED!!!!

Re: Building on my own, need suggestions.... That's a lot of coin and you have no trees to remove. Plus the ground is flat. They must be very proud of their pools. I'm guessing they use gold plated drain covers and stair rails.

    My first AG Pool Build

Final part of pool and deck project is complete. I installed gates yesterday. Kitchen will be another thread in outdoor kitchens. This gate has to be at bottom of steps. :whoot: Plan to put in a paver walkway to the driveway but for now I can relax for the next couple of months.

The pickets are galvanized conduit that I cut to 27" in length. Then I sanded, primed and painted them. No where near the cost of prefab and I can cut to what ever length I want. I'm not going to start that until the spring. That will give me plenty of time to plan everything.

    My first AG Pool Build

Finally, I have the rails done. The spindles are ¾” conduit painted black. Only thing left , gates to each stair case. The upper deck is the only thing left of the old deck system. I'm going to make an outdoor kitchen in that spot using a granite counter that was free from the...
