I need advice: KonaLabs Wireless Autofill system.

Does anyone here have experience with a Kona Labs Wireless Autofill system. I'm considering purchasing it for my in-ground pool, but its about $730 so was hoping to get some insight from other users. Thanks.

Need new Chlorinator to go with Zodiac iAquaLink system

No, I just leave it on. My old system was the same way. A little extra chlorine is not going to hurt anything. There is a kit you can buy to tie the autopilot system into the Aqualink controler, but if you do that, then you lose the automatic water temperature adjustment feature of the...

Need new Chlorinator to go with Zodiac iAquaLink system

Just a quick update. I ended up buying an AutoPilot Pool Pilot Digital complete system kit from Josh at SaltPoolGuys.com. I installed it yesterday and everything seems to be working perfectly. I'm still learning the interface and settings but so far it seems pretty intuitive and straight...

Does water flow effect a SWG?

I have a variable speed pump. I run my pump at 2500RPM for 2 hours/day and 1000RPM for 4 hours/day for a total of 6 hours. My question is this, does the SWG produce more chlorine at the higher water flow rates than it does at the lower water flow rates? Thanks.

Need new Chlorinator to go with Zodiac iAquaLink system

Thanks for the feedback. I did some more research today. I think this is all I need to add the PLC1400 to my existing system. Its a little pricey, but I think it will be a good fit. I should be able to install it myself. I will be giving Jandy a call on Monday to get some more info.

Need new Chlorinator to go with Zodiac iAquaLink system

My ClevaChlor RP30HD cell is starting to fail after 9 years. ChlevaChlor, an Australian company, is no longer in business. I need some advise on how to proceed. A few years ago I upgraded my pump to a Pentair IntelliFlo VSP, and upgraded my control panel to the iAquaLink RS in order to...

Can't get the chemistry dialed in after 100% water change

I'll give it another month and see where its at. Hopefully the TA and CH will slowly self correct over time. I try to adjust the chlorinator to keep the FC at 5.0ppm. I'm not real worried about it; I just wanted to get some outside input from the experts. I don't bother asking the pool store...

Can't get the chemistry dialed in after 100% water change

Ok, I appreciate the insight. I will just monitor the TA and see if it goes down on its own. I will let the PH rise to 7.7 and keep it there. I will lower the chlorinator to 60% and see how that works out. I'll give it a couple weeks and let you know how it worked out. Thanks again.

Can't get the chemistry dialed in after 100% water change

My Calcium Hardness had climbed up to 650ppm from 450ppm back in Aug 2012. That's about 10ppm/month. I did a 100% water change on April 19th, 2014. DATE 04/17/2014 (Before Water Change) Water Temp: 72 FC: 5.0 CC: 0.0 PH: 7.6 TA: 60 CH: 650 CyA: 35 Salt: 2700 Balance: 0.2 DATE...

Thanks Richard. I'm not sure what the old fashion way is, but I do use the Taylor speedstir.

How HARD is too HARD? (No Viagra Jokes)

We moved into our home three years ago. Our plaster pool's Calcium Hardness has been steadily increasing from 450 in AUG2012 to 525 in JUL2013 to 650 today. I am not having any problems with scaling except for around one piece of granite stone on the spa overflow which has been there for at...

Air in the return line, normal or not?

Ok, that's great to hear. Now I have two more questions that I almost hate to ask, because the answers seem obvious, but I don't want to make any assumptions. 1. The pool vac will climb the wall and suck air a few times a day. Is that ok for the pump or do I need to prevent that from...

Air in the return line, normal or not?

Thanks for your reply duraleigh. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "hold prime". The pump goes through it's self prime procedure every time it turns on. The pump has been off since midnight; its now 7:00am. In the pump basket right now at the top of the lid is a bubble, the size of a...

Air in the return line, normal or not?

I just installed a new Intelliflo variable speed pump to replace my single speed. I've never had a pump that can run this slow before so I'm not sure if the air bubbles I'm seeing are normal or not. I've got the pump set up to run at 2500 RPM from 8:00am to 11:00am for the pool vac and then...
