Do I really need pavers if my clay soil dries to an almost concrete like hardness?

Thank you so much for the great answer. I have decided not to be lazy and do the pavers. Mostly because I pictured the legs rocking back and forth from kids jumping and digging into wet soil. No matter how hard my clay is they won't with stand that.

Do I really need pavers if my clay soil dries to an almost concrete like hardness?

Another thought. All of the pool hardware is plastic except for the walls. Are the side supports really going add extra weight on the pavers or is the weight mostly going to be on the edge of the wall that goes around the pool?

What does heaving mean in this case?

Do I really need pavers if my clay soil dries to an almost concrete like hardness?

It’s still surprisingly still very strong when wet. Is there some sort of structural engineering math or science I can use to figure this out? What if I protect it from pool water by putting plastic down under the bottom track?

Do I really need pavers if my clay soil dries to an almost concrete like hardness?

I've been busting my shoulders leveling the edge my new resin pool will set on. My soil is so hard and compact that I have to soak it to chip it away to level. I just got delivery of my new pool. The bottom track the wall goes into is a flexible plastic and same for the connectors. I'm starting...

2 pumps (solar and filter) using one skimmer and one return - how do I build this?

last year I had a smaller intex on the return of the intex .75hp after going through the filter then panels and it worked fine. flow was good enough. my idea was to use the .75hp intext not going through the filter on the panels and a similar one just for filtering. so would y adapters with...

2 pumps (solar and filter) using one skimmer and one return - how do I build this?

I'm not sure how I am asking my equipment to past its expectations. Can you elaborate? 3 way valve is an interesting idea but I often need to turn on/off my panels remotely based on what the sun is doing while I am at work. Which is why I'd love it to just be it's own thing. And I am quite...

2 pumps (solar and filter) using one skimmer and one return - how do I build this?

Thanks for the reply. I decided to see if I can figure out if my 1.5" PVC won't provide enough flow. My filter pump is .75hp= 3000 gal/hr = 40gpm this website says 1.5" PVC is can do 35gpm at low pressure 81gpm at 20-100psi I'm not sure how to figure out what the PSI is of my filter. I know...

2 pumps (solar and filter) using one skimmer and one return - how do I build this?

I'm about to pull the trigger on an 18' AGP. It comes with one skimmer and one return. I want to have a separate pump for the solar panels and another for the filter. My reasoning: I am not cooling the pool when it's shady but it still need filtering or the sun has gone down. My solar lines...

Planning on a above ground pool with 52" walls and a 72" liner. What kind of taper do I need from the deepest part? and more questions!

Foam: yes. XPS purple foam. cove: I recall reading somewhere that pool cove foam wasn't great and there was a better choice but I don't recall where. How big does the shelf have to be? Is it safe to assume the shelf needs to be designed to match what the liner is designed for? Or is there a...

Planning on a above ground pool with 52" walls and a 72" liner. What kind of taper do I need from the deepest part? and more questions!

I've successfully built a 15ft intex and did quite a nice job if I do say so myself. I leveled that ground like a pro. The intex has reached the end of it's life and I'd like to upgrade to something this: PoolSupplies.com There is a 72" expandable liner available for it. I have so many...

Wow that looks beautiful! I am wondering if I can make those work in a difference spot. Thanks for the idea!

Shade tolerant perennial ground cover alternative that can handle being splashed with pool water? Usda zone 8B

Thanks my pavers are 12x12. Looks like these grow to 14". That would be too high to step over from paver to paver. Are yours that high?

Shade tolerant perennial ground cover alternative that can handle being splashed with pool water? Usda zone 8B

Whew! I know that’s a lot of requirements. Ive done some googling and nothing has come up. I have a few spots where the kids splash a ton of water outside the pool and need some ground cover that can handle it. My worst spot is in the shade all day. I’d love some kind of ground cover that can...
